Clothing Care:

  • Our luxuriously soft, natural bamboo & wood viscose blends are easy to love and easy to care for — whether you’re at home or travelling!

Hand-wash by swishing your piece around in cool or lukewarm water with a mild detergent for a minute or two before rinsing. (Avoid leaving your piece to soak, since this can weaken bamboo & wood viscose fibres over time.)

Lightly squeeze out the excess water, then roll up in a towel to remove additional moisture. Gently shake out and reshape your piece in all directions, and hang or lay flat to dry. Finish with an iron or steamer if needed :)

  • Not to worry! Should any shrinkage occur with washing, gently reshape while damp, and then carefully iron after drying to restore the size and finish of your piece. Voila! Like new — again and again.

  • Yes, absolutely. While we don’t advise soaking your pieces (since this can weaken natural bamboo & wood fibres over time), you can safely spot clean them using your favourite mild stain remover or gentle detergent. Just apply the soap to the stain, lather by rubbing the fabric against itself in the same spot, and then rinse well and hang to dry. Finish with an iron or a steamer if needed.

Sizing:

  • Since sizing can so often be subjective, we recommend checking the measurements found in each item listing to see how our pieces will fit. Generally speaking, our Pixie Dusters, Matinée Dusters, and Opera Dusters will comfortably fit up to a size 16 (depending on your bust size etc), while our Goddess Dusters will fit up to a size 20.

  • Unfortunately we don’t have the option to custom make pieces at this time. While we’re just a small company, we do hope to be able to expand our size range in the future as we learn and grow :)

Artist Collaborations:

  • We’d love to hear from you! Drop us a line via the form on our contact page, and tell us a little about yourself and your work. We design our collections quite far ahead (often over a year in advance of the release) so our artist commission spots are usually filled for the near future — but we’re always dreaming of what’s next ;)

Orders & Shipping:

  • Currently we ship across Canada and the USA, as well as to Australia, New Zealand, France, and the Netherlands. We hope to add new regions as we grow :)

  • We don’t have an express shipping option, but are working to add one soon!

  • We’ll pack and ship your order within 1-3 business days. If we’re able to ship same day, we will ;)

  • At this time we accept all major credit cards, as well as PayPal and Apple pay.

  • While we don’t have sales in the usual sense, we do like to offer little perks to our wonderful community of stargazers (this includes you!). We invite you to join our email list (linked on our homepage), for access to special discounts and treats.

  • Not yet — but this option is coming soon! Stay tuned ;)

In Person Shopping:

  • Please visit the “Stockists” section — located at the bottom of our homepage — or click this link to see a list of lovely shops that carry our line:

  • Not yet! But we do have a magical new studio space where we work (and dream) — and where we hope to host in-person events in the future. (We’re imagining little parties, fashion shows, poetry readings and creative evenings with appearances by guest artists… sound good??) To keep up with the latest news, please join our email list and follow us on Instagram (both are linked on our homepage). Keep watching the skies (and your inbox!) for updates ;)

Other:

  • At this time, we’re not accepting custom artwork commissions or custom design requests. But please get in touch with us to be notified when space reopens for custom projects :)

  • Because all of our pieces are created using prints of original artwork (rather than traditional bolts of fabric), the size and scale of the art will sometimes limit what we can make with it. For example, a painting might be too short to be reworked to fit on a long duster or slip dress. In a way, we have to let the artwork “choose” what it wants to be on ;)

  • From time to time we do post sneak peek photos or videos of upcoming collections on our socials (which we know is a bit cheeky of us ;)). If a piece isn’t listed on our website, that probably means it hasn’t been released yet — but feel free to reach out to us and ask when it’s entering the atmosphere :)

  • Thanks so much for reading and sharing our poetry! All poems are written by Market of Stars creator, Danielle Lagah, who writes a piece for every one of our designs.

  • Not yet! Hopefully someday… if it’s written in the stars ;)

  • There are so many effortless ways to wear our pieces, whether you're lounging, running errands, headed to the beach, or dressing up for a big event!  We have a detailed “How to Wear” section at the bottom of our item listings filled with styling tips and ideas for each piece. And no matter where you go wearing Market of Stars, get ready to confidently say “why, thank you!” when people tell you you look amazing :)
