Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes”

And meet me on the other side
Dream Weaver — I believe you can get me through the night.”

  • The Bohemian, the wise-woman. Women who trust their deep intuition, who radiate magic out to the cosmos. Women who watch the stars.

  • Alphonse Mucha, whose art is synonymous with Art Nouveau style, had a career filled with fascinating projects — and an unexpected journey to fame. In 1894, while working in Paris, Mucha happened to be in the right place at the right time when a rush order came in for a new poster for French actress Sarah Bernhardt’s new play “Gismonda”. The printer, who knew Mucha, turned to him in desperation to create the poster over the Christmas holidays. Mucha’s resulting design, with its graceful lines and innovative details, captivated the public — making him an overnight sensation. This chance opportunity also launched his relationship with Bernhardt, which led to many other such commissions. Beyond his famous posters, Mucha’s work was incredibly diverse. He created intricate jewelry, book illustrations and elaborate stage sets, and even designed stamps and bank notes over the course of his incredible artistic career.

  • Her heart, a moon
    behind her breast
    caught in the branches
    of her chest —
    head full of night
    a crown of sky
    and hope enthroned
    in her starry eye.
