About the print:
This quirky, beautiful design took us on quite the design journey!
Created using an original 1846 print from New York entitled “A Map of the Open Country of a Woman’s Heart”, it depicted exactly that — a fanciful imagining of a woman’s heart, drawn as a map. We completely adored the concept — but definitely didn’t adore some of the language! So we got to work, swapping out many of the place names like “Land of Fickleness” and “Land of Vanity” (no thank you), to what we feel in our own hearts — like “Land of Strength” and “Region of Reckless Joy”. Some of the original words we decided to keep — including “District of Love” and “Land of Love of Dress”— because hey, fashion will always be in our hearts ;)
55% linen, 45% bamboo/wood viscose. Handwash (or machine wash gentle cycle) and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.
Artist Pants are one-size and will fit approximately size 4/6 (S) to size 12/14 (L). General meaurements: length 86cm. Waist (flat) 84cm around, and with elastic stretched 104cm around, hips 117cm. Model is 5’2” for reference.

The soft, easy palette of these adorable pants makes them perfect for pairing with everyday basics like your favourite plain tee, denim jacket, and sneakers — but don’t be afraid to mix them with colourful pieces too! We’ll be wearing ours with washed plaids & textured knits in shades of sage, charcoal, and pink for a relaxed, bohemian vibe. A super cute and effortless alternative to jeans ;)

The free-spirit, the open-hearted. Women who feel their own worth, who fit everything that matters in to their hearts. Women who always have love to give.

Our finished map was so special, we knew we couldn’t just pair it with a boring background! Instead, we combed through hundreds (and hundreds!) of vintage botanical illustrations and finally found a marvellous herb and flower catalogue from the 1800’s. We pieced together a more than a dozen drawings from this catalogue to create the subtle-yet-sublime pattern that forms the main body of our design. The beautiful trim comes from the same handpainted American wallpaper found on our Heart’s Delight artist jacket — which we thought was a perfect fit :)

Some places she will show you: the grassy hollow of her throat, the horizon of her hip, river of hair across a pillow, her smile a crooked fence lined with cherry trees. The rest is sacred
But bring patience, and a compass and prayers for the wildness of her country. Stand in the trees and hear their longing creak and ache, be rocked in the branches there. Learn the name of every path and lane every flower and vein, hope and hurt. And when she asks you one night wander down to her shore and call out to the stars
that you will stay.
