This sunny piece was made for warm days and breezy adventures! We love it with jeans or shorts and a basic tank, but it’s also a perfect piece to layer with sundresses. Play up the nautical vibes with white linen capris, boat shoes, and a straw bag for an adorable market-day look, or pair it with an eyelet skirt, belt and a coral tank for brunch. And if you’ve got a holiday or cruise in your future, be sure to bring this piece along — it’s the best cover-up when you’re poolside or by the sea :)

The mermaid, the wayfarer. Women who live to feel the sand between their toes and the sun on their faces. Women who set sail for adventure.

Edward Burne-Jones, the painter of our little mermaid, is considered to be one of the most important artists of his era, and a founder of the 1800’s Aesthetic Movement in art. In addition to being a prolific painter, he was also a gifted designer and craftsman, and created many incredible stained glass windows which still survive today. A visionary and a dreamer, he described his work as a means of creating “a picture of a beautiful, romantic dream of something that never was, never will be — in a light better than any light that ever shone — in a land no one can define or remember.”

Sit at the shoulder of sand with me, where the land wears the sea like a dress. Tell me everything, all the hurt. Let the wind raise your hair like a pirate flag, the sun tease the secret freckles from your skin. I don’t care what they say. If you want to be a mermaid, be one.
